was watching Evan Almighty the other day, which is sorta like a sequel to Bruce Almighty.

anyway, something in the movie struck me just like the previous one.

first, Bruce Almighty, there's like a whole phase of 'miracles'. the God in the movie said :

"Parting your soup was not a miracle, it's a magic trick. A single mom who's working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says no to drugs and yes to an education, that's a miracle. People want me to do everything for them, what they don't realise is that they have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle."

i guess that's the truth, since we can accept everything in life, but ultimately it's up to us if we want to see some results. i'm starting to see that, as time goes by.

next, Evan Almighty, there's this whole thing about 'prayers' and getting what you want. the God in the movie said:

"Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives him patience? Or does He gives him the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God gives him courage, or does He gives him the opportunity to be courageous? If someone prays for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does He gives them the opportunity to love each other?"

i guess that's also true, since there's no free lunch in the world, and that we have to work hard to get what we want.

"You want to know how to change the world? One Act of Random Kindness at a time."

A-R-K.

it's just amazing... don't you think?
