once again i've neglected this blog for almost a month. anyhow, two main things happened in the month of july. both under the same name, except different adventures. yep, you've probably guessed it. Harry Potter.
the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. well, i expected the delivery to be on the following monday after the release at saturday, but turns out the poor guy popped out at my doorstep. anyhow when i took the book, realising it was smaller, as in thinner than the previous two, i was rather disappointed. for once i thought that the ending to it all should be an lengthy one, since the last chapters of any fanfic usually comprises of the most words, with the exception of epilogues.
which ever way. i sat down to read, to my dismay and amusment how the story progressed. i'm lazy to type the thing here, but maybe some pointers.
Snape, the one we were screaming insults, curses and hexes at him at the end of the 6th book, turned out to be an emerald in the rough. he's in love with Lily Evans, also known as Lily Potter in later years, big surprise to me but apparently expected result for some others. he killed Dumbledore on Dumbledore's orders himself, which is rather twisty to me. And so he emerged hero, and earned Harry's respect, which he wouldn't know and appreciate anyway.
Dumbledore, turns out he isn't the grandfatherly powerful wizard everyone's respected and in fact there's a dodgy past hidden behind the elaborated facade. that aside, since he's dead already.
talk about dead, many people died in the book, and the one who is rummored to die in the end did not. major disappointment... i'm talking about Harry Potter himself, not Voldermort.
book is one thing, the next is the movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
major, major disappointment. i'd rather watch surf's up twice actually...
boos for the movie is because of the twisting of the line to suit the movie, rather weird for someone who has spent a great deal of time reading the darn book. then the actors seems to be in another zone rather than acting... mainly memorising lines instead of being in the character...
and umbridge seriously doesn't look like a toad... which is supposed to be a trademark to the character... and it ain't exciting on the whole, except the duels...
for some reason or another, there was a big difference in dueling. like this one better though, since it's more realistic than the previous ones where there's a huge time gap between everything.
and music, honestly as i am listening to it and typing at the same time, sounded horrible. no doubt someone tried to put in a slice of his own style, i feel so sorry for John Williams...
anyhow, that should conclude the month of July. with nothing but harry potter.
